Danette's Message

Dear Friends & Partners,

Have you ordered your copies of my new book, “Don’t Quit In The Pit”? I want to encourage you to order today if you haven’t already.

I want to encourage you not to quit no matter how deep your pit may seem today because God has the power to turn any situation around – and that includes yours! Some of you may be in the midst of your greatest battle. Well, be encouraged. Your greatest battle always precedes your greatest breakthrough! Some of you may be in the middle of the biggest storm that you have ever been through. Well, be encouraged. Joy always comes in the morning. Even after the worst of storms, the sun always shines again. As the beautiful new day approaches and the sun begins to shine again, the affects of the devastating storm slowly fade. There is always a beautiful “after” no matter how bad the storm once raged. You are about to step into your “after” but you must not quit in the pit. If you never quit, you can never be defeated. But, if you quit, you can never win!

Acts 27:31-32 says, “Then Paul said to the centurion and the soldiers, ‘Unless these men stay with the ship, you cannot be saved’. So the soldiers cut the ropes that held the lifeboat and let it fall away.” If you have been thinking about abandoning ship, I want to encourage you to hang in there. Paul told them that they must stay with the ship in order to be saved. In other words, their lives depended upon their obedience to the instruction. They wanted to get in what looked like a “lifeboat” and escape the storm. But in reality, it would have been a “death-boat.” When we are in a storm, we can’t let the storm get on the inside of us. One way that we let the storm get on the inside of us is through our words and our thoughts. The power of life and death are in our tongues and we must choose to speak life. Psalm 91:2 (Amp) says, “I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on Him I lean and rely and in Him I confidently trust!” What have you been saying of the Lord? Stop and really think about the answer to that question. Have you been saying, “Lord, this isn’t fair. Why do I have to go through this storm. Life’s not fair. I have it so bad! No one else has it as bad as I do!” Or have you been saying in the midst of your storm, “My God is a good God. He has always brought me through and He will bring me through this time! I trust Him. I lean on Him. I know He’s my ever present help in the time of trouble!” When we are saying all the right things concerning the Lord, we get ourselves up for breakthrough. Psalm 91:3-4 (Amp) says, “For (then) He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence. (Then) He will cover you with His pinions, and under His winds shall you trust and find refuge: His truth and His faithfulness are a shield and a buckler.” Then He delivers us – after we are saying all the right things of the Lord. When your circumstances are the “pits” you must decline to whine! You can’t sit back and feel sorry for yourself. You can’t invite people to join you in your pity party. You have to make the choice never to quit in your pit and go forward one day at a time.

Maybe you are in a money pit today. Maybe you are I the pit of sickness or pain. No matter what “pit” you may find yourself in today, I want to encourage you to make your “pit” a temporary situation. Never park in the “pit” but pray and pray like you have never prayed before. When Jonah was in the “pit” of the belly of the whale, he had a three day prayer meeting that topped any time of prayer that he had ever experienced. Let your “pit” be a place of promotion and not a dead end. What God did for me, He will do for you! Some of the chapters in my new book include: From the Pit of Rejection to the Peak of Acceptance; From the Pit of Brokenness to the Peak of Wholeness; From the Pit of Aimlessness to the Peak of Purpose; From the Pit of Self-Direction to the Peak of Obedience; From the Pit of Self-Pity to the Peak of Contentment; From the Pit of Doubt and Despair to the Peak of Trust and Hope; From the Pit of Lack to the Peak of Plenty; From the Pit of Defeat to the Peak of Victory; From the Pit of Addiction to the Peak of Freedom; From the Pit of Unforgiveness to the Peak of Reconciliation. NO MATTER WHAT THE PIT – DON’T QUIT!

GOD BLESS YOU,
